My Creative Beginnings: Where Whimsy Tales, Aromatic Tea, and Cat Louey Converge

My journey into storytelling began around our family's kitchen table, where evenings were filled with the aroma of my grandma's berry pies and the magic of stories—about planets, rabbits, quarks, and flowers. Those cozy nights sparked a lifelong love for imagining tales that blend science with creativity. But it took decades—and a certain orange cat’s gentle persistence—before I finally put one on paper.

Louey wasn’t just any cat—he was a fluffy orange philosopher, a paw-swatting editor, and an expert at napping in the middle of my writing. He sat by my side as I doodled and dreamed. He was the heart behind Cloud Named Chloe and Her Cat Louey and the spark for so many other ideas in waiting.

What if human DNA evolved to let people change shape, adapting to their surroundings the way a cuttlefish shifts its form or a chameleon melts into the trees? What if a cloud could think, dream, and chase lost echoes? What if animals had a world where they made the rules? These aren’t just bedtime stories; they’re playful invitations to wonder, imagine, and ask big questions—the kind that spark the minds of future scientists, dreamers, and explorers.

And maybe, one day, a child will stand in front of a mirror—just like our dear Cloud Chloe—and ask, "What shape should I be today? Shall I have a fluffy tail, strong wings, or shimmering feathers?"

So, whether you're here for a book, a story, or simply a cozy nook where curiosity meets wonder—welcome! I hope these stories bring as much joy to your home as they did when Louey and I first dreamed them up.

Some stories begin with a grand idea. Mine? It started with a cat. A cat who, in his own quiet way, nudged me toward a world where animals and plants could have a planet of their own.

AI Wandered Through My Books… and Gave Me a Whimsical Surprise!

Curious about how AI sees me as an author? So was I! My first book was written between 2018 and 2020—long before AI could dream up whimsical images. But recently, I uploaded my books into an AI database and couldn’t resist prompting: "Please, read my stories and imagine me."

The result? A playful, starry-eyed storyteller surrounded by curious creatures of Marsimble—still very much a child at heart. And that makes me smile because maybe that’s why kids find a kindred spirit in my stories. If you’d like to see how AI Marlowe interprets my books and characters, take a peek at the Book Mood page.
